I am passionate about helping you to elevate your writing to the next level, as well as working with you to develop your craft so that each subsequent book you write needs less editorial intervention.

As such, my author coaching service won't just consider your current writing project, but also your specific narrative and long-term goals. We will work together to consider what areas to concentrate on which will be most beneficial to your overall writing craft and confidence as well as your current manuscript. We will discuss elements such as your individual writing process, narrative theory, literary analysis, the publication process, and the current market, providing feedback and information that will help you to plot a course towards achieving your writing goals.

How it works:

The book coaching process is, by definition, a collaborative one. In the initial coaching call, we will discuss your project, writing practice, knowledge and experience and overall writing goals. I will use this information to create a flexible, personalised guide based on your number of coaching sessions that will help you to reach the milestones that are the most important to you.

After each coaching call, I will create a personalised assignment 'to-do' list, reflecting the content we discussed in the coaching call, which will include any next steps to be made prior to the next call. In between each call, I will read up to 10k of your manuscript in preparation for discussion in the next session (as needed).

What you’ll receive:

• 6 or 12 coaching calls at regular intervals (depending on your chosen coaching package)

• A personalised assignment list after each session to help you to stay on track in between calls

• Feedback on up to 10k of your project (as needed) between each call

What is not included:

• This service doesn’t include an edited copy of your manuscript. If you are looking for edits or written comments, one of my other services might better suit you.

Who it is for:

This service is for authors who are feeling stuck or lost with their manuscript, and are looking for a service which will allow them regular access to an editorial professional to help them work on their manuscript and craft.

Rates

As a member of the CIEP, my rates are in keeping with the industry standards, as detailed on the CIEP website.
